Lena: Personality & Talk Coach ("the app") is built by Blu Codeworks to help adults understand how they communicate and relate, and to word the messages that matter. This policy explains what the app processes, what stays on your phone, and the specific cases where data leaves it.

When you tap "Check my message", the text you pasted is sent over an encrypted connection to Lena's server and then to Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, which writes the analysis and suggested versions. The reply is sent back to your phone. Blu Codeworks does not store the message or the reply, and our server logs record only the time, an anonymous user ID and technical error codes, never the message. Anthropic processes the request as our service provider under its commercial terms: it automatically deletes the message and reply from its systems within 30 days, and does not use them to train its models. If Anthropic's automated safety systems flag a request as breaking its usage policy, Anthropic may keep it for up to 2 years, and it may keep data longer where the law requires.
Before anything is sent, the app checks the message on your phone for signs of self-harm, abuse or threats. If it finds them, nothing is sent and the app shows support information instead.
Server-side data (backups, sign-in, coach usage counts) is stored on Google Cloud servers in the United States (Firebase, "nam5" and "us-central1"). Coach requests are processed by Anthropic. On your phone, Lena's data lives in the app's private storage, is excluded from device backups, and is deleted when the app is uninstalled.
Data in transit is encrypted (TLS). Server access is governed by Firebase security rules on a least-privilege basis: each signed-in user can read and write only their own backup, and coach usage counts can be written only by our server. The AI provider key is held in Google Secret Manager and never ships in the app.
Lena is for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children.
Lena is a self-reflection and communication tool. Results are a starting point for reflection, not a diagnosis, and the coach is not therapy or crisis support.
